Help with the Thieves Guild !!

I accidently killed Jaylos and Cashon, who were in an upper room at an inn. At the time, I was fooling around with trying to pickpocket the sleeping person but got busted. Those two attacked me and I had to kill them off. Now ( much later ) I find out that I needed to talk with them about finding a contact person to find the "secret location" of the rival guild's headquarters. Any ideas? Where is the rival guild headquarters? Apparantly, I can't do anything more in the game until I uncover this information and take it back to ....what's his name again? Anyway...HEEELLLPPP !!!!

first off, Welcome to Ironworks [img]graemlins/thewave.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/cheers.gif[/img] ! You could try to SK them back in or use a CLUA...i don't think you can go to their hideout either...unless you want to meet Valen's mistress , but it might be too late for that (I never side with her)

Wouldn't Mr. Gith show up if he did that..cause it would be a plot breaking action, therefore warranting Mr.Gith to come and tell him so..

One should drop the note, otherwise I don't know if you can go where you should, you can try, but I suggest you load it, and start again.

And in any case, it's bad scripting BIS' part, because they really shouldn't be there unless you are on the mission to meat them in the first place.

As the others said, go back there and get the note.

The note in question is not dropped by either Jaylos or Caehan, it is dropped by the Guild Contact who comes after the fight involving J. and C., which comes after your meeting J. and C. and having a dialogue with them. I don't believe carrying the note is absolutely required to advance the plot to the next stage, but killing the Guild Contact is, and the dialogue probably is as well. Therefore, take one (or more) of these options:
A) Reload. Your closest Auto-Save is going up the stairs to the 2nd floor of the Five Flagons. Your Quicksave could be anywhere. NEVER overwrite your hard save (the one you've named) after encountering what you think could be a bug, especially a quest-breaking one.
B) Go back to the room and CLUA Jaylos and Caehan back in. This might be a bit tricky, since you have to do them both at the same time--they start their dialogue almost as soon as they see you.
C) CLUA in the Guild Contact. Use Shadowkeeper's Creature Browser to find the codes.

why do you need to do it quickly? you can just pause the game and then clua them in, then unpause.
