I've only recently gotten ToB and decided to play through from BG2. I also just downloaded the item upgrade mod. During the final battle with Irenicus, Nalia was killed. She was loaded down with goodies, including the upgraded daystar. Before I could pick everything up the battle was over and I teleported back out of hell. Now all my "goodies" are gone. I'm going to keep on playing through but it is still a bummer.

I know that I've gotten on board even after the bandwagon has left but hey, it's still fun to play and I've really enjoyed to item upgrade mod. Getting all those things together was a lot of fun and really added to the game for me.

We've all been there with you, antryg. Everyone's done that or something similar, don't feel alone. You should have a final save before fighting Jon-Bon. Why don't you load that save, and try again? Could make you less bitter.

The exact same thing happened to me in IWD. One of my party members got killed in the final battle, and when I loaded the (eventually victorious) party into the expansion, she was alive, but had no gear. After trying that last battle over and over again without success, trying to keep everyone alive, I finally gave up, exported her final-save .CHA file, and imported that into HoW. She's got significantly less experience than the rest of the party, but she still has all her gear, and I consider the experience cut balances out the cheating. Maybe this is an option for you.

That'd be good Pirengle, but unfortunately, you can't export non-custom NPCs out of BG2.

In this scenario, I would think it justified to CLUAConsole:MoveToArea("AR2900") , get the stuff, and CLUAConsole:MoveToArea("AR4500") . After all, it doesn't seem like anyone's been there, and it was your mind that changed the pocket plane, summoned Cespanar back from wherever he was (he wasn't in the plane in SOA that *I* could see, anyway...), and made up all of the tests...

Moose, being bitter isn't a result of life experience. It is a lifestyle, freely chosen and embraced. Some things just highlight the lifestyle.

I once lost a Keldorn and all his gear. In a battle with Sendai, a drow killed Keldorn, just after one of the six Sendai clones cast flesh to stone on him. I couldn't cast stone to flesh on him, as he was dead, and I couldn't get his equipment back as he was petrified. He had Carsomyr, 12 King's Tears, Montolio's cloak and the Bag of Holding as well.
