before installing bgt i thought id play one game with tactics/item upgrade/EoU mods, but i have no desire to install the game all over again. i read somewhere that with a "snapshot" i wont have to. now i need confirmation to what files i need to copy in order to bring back the original game without the mods. the files ive got now are dialog.tlk, chitin and the override folder. are there anymore?

lastly, these mods are all Weidu made. can i trust that they will all be removed correctly?

TO cover every mod technology that can possibly be used, you need to copy the .exe, the dialogue.tlk (the dialoguef.tlk for certain non-english versions), the chitin.key, the .bif files, the override folder, basicaly everything.

To cover weiDU mods, what you have is sufficient. Although, with weiDU mods, you shoudlnt need a snapshot at all, unless you break the game by installing a non-weiDU mod after a weiDU mod.

There is a utility on TeamBG called ModSwitcher:
Quote:
Using this tool you can backup your BG2 game files critical for restoring the game to its official state or to any saved mod state. So you can use this to switch between official game, this mod, that mod, whatever...and then easily play the active mod. Just make sure you have harddrive space!
