FA Premier League Fantasy Football 08/09

A few of us did this last year, and with the rise of the Premier League thread I thought it would be worthwhile seeing who's interested again.

It's free.
It's for fun (although if you do come top of the world you win prizes)
Gloating allowed for victories.

more information.. do we play games when the 'real' game is played or can we play the whole season in say a week? Also, do we have our own Inronworks Premiership league? I dont get it.

You choose your team. 1 goalkeeper, 5 defenders, 5 midfielders, 3 strikers. From that you field your formation, so you can play 4-4-2 or 3-4-3 or whatever you want. Transfers are unlimited at the start of the season, then you have a week where you can transfer for no points deducted, then it costs you 2 points per transfer I believe.

Each week when there are matches played, players get rated. 4 points for a goal, 3 points for playing 90mins, etc. (the scoring system is on the site). This gets added to your team. Simply, the most points wins.

If, like me, you can't be bother with transfers and whatnot, just pick your team and leave it, checking your rank as you go along it auto-subs if a player isn't playing.

I created a league for IWers (which is at the top) but that doesn't stop you being in other leagues. It also ranks you compared to other people of your nationality, who live in your country, who support your team, and of course overall.

So the game won't end until week 38, May or whenever it is

Nuts, my works firewall has for some reason blocked the site this year...it worked fine last year Maybe they expect us to actually work??
