Hi ekibiogama,
Welcome to Dungeon Craft. ![]() There is a way to edit these things, but they are not handled by the Dungeon Craft (DC) editor. They are a bit more on the advanced side for that reason. You want to look at 3 files which will be in your .\DungeonCraft directory~ baseclass.txt, classes.txt and races.txt. While it is possible to add to these files, DC reacts with varying degrees of performance, depending on which files and how much is added. However, they work pretty well when you are taking stuff away. Looking in them should give you a pretty good idea of what you can do. If you want me to explain more, or give examples, I would be happy to, just ask. ![]() I'm curious to hear about your design. ![]() |

thanks i will goo look at it, and i think i saw that file when i was snooping around the program files. right now its nothing big. its just sort of a tutorial of how to play the game, but the "scenerio" is that you and your freinds (if you choose to have more than 1 persone in your party) wake up in a dungeon, and a mesteriouse voice explains that you have been chosen to participate in a "game" a rat race fore a grand prize of some sort, but there are not only monster in the dungeone, but other competetors. i like this idea because i can make a lot of situations were you can choose to kill them or ask them to join your party (pass up experience) i have only hade this program for a few days, so wen i learn hoe to use it more, it will devolope more. nd not to mention its my first one, thught i would keep it simple, nthing to complicated.

yea. i looked at that file, i am definetly guna have to save a backup of that so if i mess it up, i dont screw myself over. i also noticed the lvl experience, definetly going to have to rack up the experience on my monsters, or i think i will wait untill i finish and change the experience acordingly. man i am definetly going to need a calculator. there is definetly a lot to think about, the biggest i think is trying to figure out if there is there enough experience to lvl up in time to match the next lvl of monsters, aggg. my brain hurts. i was wondering if there is a way to make the player see a tresure chest for example as they walk up to it instead of *walking along* BAM! *chest falls from sky* you found treasure! dan da da daaa! is there a way besides changing te wall behind it or something. same with preset combat triggers.

Sounds good.
![]() I think playing around wiht DC is probably the best way to learn how to use it, but with that being said, not everything is obvious. ![]() |
