Default ugh, smitfraud removal

So, because I don't live in the stoneage and do like to go online, I ended up getting smitfraud-C on my comp. I'd really really like to avoid wiping the whole drive, since it mostly doesn't seem to affect performance, but restoring my comp would take the better part of three days.

Is there a reliable tool or website or something that can help me get rid of this thing? I've tried CCleaner, Spybot S&D, Avast!. Tried to removed the reg keys with regedit, and tried all of the above in both normal and safe mode. Nothing seems to kill it.

I see things online, but since random clicking appears to be what got me into this, I'd just as soon not make it worse by installing something that "helps" only to have it become the new problem.

I had this before. It can do alot of dmg to the drive up to a point where even when clean, you may have to reinstall.

Your first stop should be this program.

Finishing off with a Panda Scan

Then possibly another spyware/malware scanner.

Then a "fix" on hard drive. Using the error checking tab as you right-click your main drive.
Good luck, it's a bitch of a thing.

Btw. Make sure to follow the instructions carefully with the first program, I think it requires safe mode firstly.
