Portal Query

Havent bought the spells yet, but hoping someone can clarify.

Is it a case of setting two portals where you want and then travelling in between?

Can you have multiple portals up?

Just wondering in advance as at the moment Im walking back and for to Arnika when I sell or stock up on ammo. (Done the wilderness, Trynton and am currently exploring the swamp)

Each character who is capable of casting the spell can have a portal, so you can potentially have 8 different portals if you have the right mix of professions. You set a portal where you want it (e.g., next to a store in Arnika) then when you want to return there the character that set the portal casts return to portal (if you have lots of portals it's a good idea to keep a record of whose portal goes where

). However, unless another character sets a portal from where you teleported in from, you can't return there by anything other than walking. E.g., if you return to your portal in Arnika from the swamp, you can't return to the swamp via portal unless you've also set one there.

Thanks for clearing that up. Can you 'unset' a portal and create a new one?. If so, how is this achieved?

Yes, if a character already has a portal set then when they cast set portal again you get a message to the effect of 'replace previous portal?' and you just pick yes or no.

The is also a place that can teleport you to 4 locations, so if you are short on portal casters that is a great place to put one.
