Sunglass Man ST and anyone else interested in 3D

The RuntimeDNA website has a great project going on called Shocktober.

They've got lots and lots of freebies from this year and the previous Shocktobers - all are along a Halloween, horror or gothic theme.

And did I mention that they're all free?

Daz3D's newest star, Michael 4 has just been released and he's free.

There most recent female figure, Victoria 4.2 is also free.

I highly recommend these figures. There are lots of freebies for Victoria 4 and I'm sure there will be a lot for Michael 4 soon.

Do you know if they are backwards compatable? I mean just for a hypothetical example, if I DL-ed and installed DAZ "Pouffy hair for cheap lady-of-the-night V3", would it work on V4?

I believe you know the answer to this question...yes and no. Not out of the box, but with a very minor amount of position tweaking it will.

Victoria 1 & 2 can use the same everything.
Michael 1 & 2 can use the same everything.
Aiiko 3 and Stephanie 3 Petite can use the same hair and some of the same clothes.
Hiro 3 and David 3 can use the same hair and some of the same clothes.
Michael 3 and the Freak can use the same hair and the same hand-held props, as well as the same morphs.
Victoria 3 and the She-Freak use the same hair, same morphs ans some same clothes and all same hand-held props.
Victoria 4 and Aiko 4 same everything.
Michael 4 and Hiro 4 (not out yet) same everything.

Hair:this is the easiest thing to tranfer between characters. If it's the hr2 kind - which is parented to he figure's head, it always just a matter of adjusting the scale and trans(ition). For the kind of hair that is a figure, it is a matter of adjust scale and trans AND using it if as if it were an hr2 and parenting it to the head instead of conforming it.

Materials/Textures: All Generation 3 figures mentioned above, the Freak and the She-Freak, along with Luke 3, Laura 3 and the MilBaby 3 can use the same textures. All Generation 4 figures can use the same texture. Note, it may look weird to put a male textures on a female or vice versa, but you can if you want to.

These are just the DAZ figures, the other free figures out there such as Furrette 2, Furraldo 2, K, Apollo Maximus, Behemoth, Project Male, Project Female, etc. can use the same tricks for the hair and the same thing for hand-held props, but that is it. The independent figures are only compatible with themselves (though Furrette 2 and Furraldo 2 might be able to use the same textures, I can't remember).

The Poser figures (which come with Poser or are available from Content Paradise) are not compatible with DAZ figures except the hair trick and hand-held props trick. They are somewhat compatible with each other. If you, or anyone else would like to hear about their cross-compatibilities, let me know, but as these are not free and not as popular as DAZ figures I won't go into it now.
