Arrow Tech help needed: Wireless network.

I've got a problem. I just got my hand on a used laptop and it's in good shape and all, but I can't get it to see my wireless network.

The network is working right, the XBOX 360 is seeing it fine and has no problem using it, but when I have Windows XP search for networks it doesn't see anything. I'm not too familiar with laptops; I tried playing around with the settings but nothing worked.

The OS is Windows XP service pack 2, the wireless card is an "Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection" with the driver version 10.1.0.11

Can anyone help me out? I have no idea what to try.

Check to see if the laptop has wireless software that's unique to the card. You might be able to configure with that.

You may also need to tell Windows to look for it a bit differently. If you want to throw up some screen shots, perhaps some ideas will pop up...

Figured it out. There was an on off switch on the laptop. It was turned on in the software but not physically.

Forgot about that one! I've had it cause problems more than once...

Glad you got it squared away
