I saw this last week. It came on after Beauty and the Geek. I thought the title of the show sounded stupid, but I still watched it anyway. Sad but true LOL. Anywho, it actually turned out quite entertaining. It's a little bit America's Next Top Model and a little bit Beauty and the Geek. Models are both male and female in the show as well, and I love variety so that's cool. In the first episode they had the models walk the runway saying various answers to questions. I.E., name some tree species, name some flower species, name some drugs, name things that are in the sky, name things that are dirty, name things that are round, etc. Was funny as hell watching them all try to walk and answer all those ridiculous questions.
Here's all the cast's bios: http://www.vh1.com/shows/dyn/america...aracters.jhtml There is this likeable-but... kinda gals called Mandy Lynn. She decided to enhance her lips, like, bigtime. But instead of injecting them with collagen like most people (which eventually goes away, absorbed by the body), she put silicone in them, like boobs LOL. They really are awkwardly large LOL. They had her come out on the runway saying things that were round. She could only come up with four things, so just kept repeating them as she walked LOL "Balls, cherries, balloons, tires.." ![]() Either way, not a bad one and worth checking out on Tuesdays. (although it didn't air tonight). Show introduction video: Last edited by Ladyzekke; 10-09-2007 at 09:47 PM. |

Ben Stein is a hoot! Remember his cable show, Win Ben Stein's Money?
Man... after listening through that, two thoughts come to mind... First, how many of the male models are *ahem* interested in the female models? Second... mmm.... nope. Still caught up on the first issue. Mind out of the gutter, B... Okay... is this also trying to merge in "Are you smarter than a fifth grader"? Could be interesting, but it looks like it's going to rely heavily on model stereotypes. 'Course, that's the premise, isn't it?

Yep I loved Win Ben Stein's Money! Gah, that was back in the day the Comedy Channel (now Comedy Central) was really fun to watch, with Absolutely Fabulous and all...
![]() Oh and so many of those male models seem gay to me. Hard to tell though. I watched this one show on the Reality Channel a few weekends ago called Playing It Straight. Basically it was like the Bachelorette, a girl looking for love, etc...but they gave her a cast of men that were both straight and gay. If she in the end picked a straight guy, they both got to share a million dollars. If she in the end picked a gay guy, the gay guy got the entire million and she was left with nothing. I swear, she was great re picking the gay guys out. No way would I have been able to tell! None of them outright acted gay so it really would have been a mindgame if it were me LOL, a game that I probably would have lost as well LOL! In summary, I have absolutely no gaydar LOL. I just have a feeling they have some pretty funny things in store for all of the models to do in the future episodes. I hope they don't let me down LOL! ![]() |

Hehe yeah I love Ben stein, his voice would be annoying if he wasn't so witty. I glanced this show the other night, but couldn't really bear to linger long as it was a little formula(ic). I did see them look absolutely gutted when they were told to leave, lol and I thought "awe look how much he wanted to be told he was the smartest model" and then changed the channel.
I saw that playing it straight show also back in the day, lol I remember thinking "what a horrible idea for a show" and couldn't bear it too long after watching an episode.

Well then I guess you won't be interested in the upcoming Fox Reality Channel show called "There's Something About Miriam." Miriam is looking for love too, the man of her dreams. She looks very pretty. What her suitors don't know is she is a he. LOL, I noticed the timeslot for this particular gem, 1:am in the morning LOL!
I don't know who would watch that at that hour, but will be interesting to see how the ratings go for it. And look forward to The Soup clips. ![]() Oh and Spiritwarrior, did you see the last Soup? Elizabeth Taylor howling and Lou howling? So cute! (Lou, not ET). ![]() |

Yes lol, I know it all too well. They asked her if someone should get married too and she was all "Nooooooo". I also love how the crew of the soup like to join in the howling
![]() Was'nt there a show with that plot a few years back? She was really a man etc. I think it was on NBC. I caught the smartest model one there just after I posted tonight, where the guy said he was from California when asked if he was American. Poor sod, they edited his whole "I thought you meant native american" explanation out. After watching it a bit more it is mildly interesting, mostly due to the people who say things like "I'm here to prove models are smart and like everyone else", when clearly the show sets out and succeeds in proving the opposite with every episode. And I mean, everyone already knows models are stupid (haven't they learned from Tyra?) I think they should all just go home, get a sunset tan, and "say they did". *sigh*

No I haven't seen any Whitney clip from The Soup. Was it perhaps one from that old reality show Being Bobby Brown where she's in a car and mouthing the words to a song "Shut up, Shut up, just shut up"? That was hilarious. Heck that whole trainwreck of a show was hilarious! It's funny cause they were going to do another Being Bobby Brown, but since Whitney divorced him and won't be in it, they cancelled! No doubt Whitney was the star (crazy lady) for that show LOL.
Yeah I'm giving America's Smartest Model a chance. I loved how that prancing arrogant Russian guy kept bragging how he was the best catwalker, only to have the judges rag on his walk later on heee! And of course you have the girl who put silicone in her lips (instead of temporary collagen)! They are huge LOL. Oh, and don't know if you caught this or not, but in the first episode one of the male contestants was Slavco (did you ever see Jerry Hall's reality show a few years back called Kept)? Oh as for Slavco, he wasn't picked at all LOL, so you'll only glimpse him on the first episode! Yeah I really liked Kept. I seriously doubt things went well with her chosen companion. I mean, the whole point was to teach the guys manners and such, and she ends up choosing the rudest mannered one! He mentioned her being an old broad more than once too! I thought she was gonna pick the blond dude with the moles myself.
![]() I actually saw that Kiss My Fat Ass Tyra show. I guess I must have had the day off. I'm surprised though that The Soup used that particular Whitney clip. She had better ones from Being Bobby Brown, like Hell to the Naw! ![]() |
