Finished Sorcerer's Stone last night...
with my son. He was on the edge for the last two chapters, and I was reminded how well done they were.
He's decided he wants to read Chamber of Secrets himself, withe me helping with the hard words. I think I'll reread them myself, as well...

READ READ READ to your kids... my wife is still reading to our 12 year old, although the 17 year old has drifted off. I regret not being more plugged into that, although I do participate regularly it's really somthing that my wife owns.
In another 10 years when both boys have their own lives, I'm going to regret losing that time with them (hell I already do). She's definitely NOT going to think "jeeze I did all that reading with my kid when I could have been surfing the net or doing laundry". |
