Actually! I did the more water in the ear trick. I put it in, turned over to let it flow out and then shook my head a fair bit. It seems to be ok, but feels a bit funny.
No swooshing though.

Glad you found something that works. That usually makes it worse for me... But well done to you and your ear!

Well if the swooshing is gone then you are OK now. If it feels still funny just lay on that ear when you go to bed, any remaining water should leak out in time.

I'm still surprised you couldn't shake the water out. I'm guessing you've never been a head banger then LOL? Rage Against the Machine, for me, would have done the trick fairly quickly LOL.

The Metallica cure? You mean just selling out and letting a record company executive suck it out of your ear, along with your soul?

Considering the fact that they screamed their way to the top of the Metal scene almost 30 years ago, I don't see anything wrong with mellowing with age. Considering Hetfield is only three months older than I am, I'd say I'm amazed they are still around. However, the solution suggested was to blast something like Master of Puppets with the headphones on. If that won't shake the water out, nothing will.
