Yes! I do wear a seatbelt, and yes it does save lives. It's just the thing you do automatically when you get into a car.

Of course you wear a seatbelt. It's no great effort and you hardly notice it (except perhaps the first few times. And if you put it behind your head, you might as well not put one on at all. That won't help). Like Goku says, it's something you do automatically, and considering the difference it can make it's well worth the trouble. It's the difference between life and death, or minor and serious injuries.
Thinking you'll be safe because you believe you're in complete control is stupid; noone enters a car expecting to crash into another or land it in a ditch, yet accidents like that happen all the same.
On top of that, over here at least, it's illegal to drive around without wearing one. Plenty of reasons to be safe.

Not wearing a seatbelt, saved my brothers life once. If there was a seatbelt that would have kept him in the car, he would have been crushed together with the rest of the car. But he got thrown out of the front windowshield and landed on both his legs, without a scratch. Two other people in the car were not so lucky, and didn't survive the crash.

So now he never wears them anymore, and every time a cop pulls him over he explains them this story. They can understand his reasons, but give him the ticket nonetheless of course. But when he drives off, he still doesn't wear em, and they just let him be.

I'm sorry to hear about the other two Johnny
Your brother must've been extremely lucky to get off as well as he did.

But still, I'm convinced wearing seatbelts generally saves more lives than not wearing any.

Yeah, it was amazing. Not even a scratch. His girlfriend also got thrown out of the car, and she broke almost every bone a human can break. He must have had an angel on his shoulder that day.

I wear a seatbelt whenever I remember to, which is usually about 90% of the time - I do forget sometimes though, but that doesn't happen very often. Also, if it's only like a five minute drive, I'll often just think 'meh' and go without.

My parents will not start driving the car until everyone has their seatbelt on. When they were dating, my mom's car slid on a patch of black ice and the car was flipped over into a ditch. The car was completely smashed beyond repair, but because they both had their seatbelts on neither had worse than a few bruises and scratches.

Another reason to wear seatbelts; my ex-boyfriend said that when his mom was pregnant with him and crashed her car, she was told she would have lost the baby if she had been wearing her seatbelt.

Yes I do wear seatbelt at least 90% of the time. In most cases seatbelts do save lives, but there are situations when you get better of, if you aren't wearing one.
My friend never wears one because of accident he had 9 years ago. We went for a little drive on sunday. Because he was driving too fast we slided off the road and went into the river. Two friends were sitting in the back and weren't wearing seatbelts, they jumped out just before the car began sinking. Me and my friend who was driving were wearing seatbelts and we had to unbuckle ourselves first. I came out no problem (the side window was luckily opened), but he had some problems and had to dive out of the sinking car and ... he couldn't swim, so I had to pull him to the river bank. We were lucky to survive but since then he hates the seatbelt and never wears one.
