Thunderbird photo plug-in?

Is there such a thing? Some people send me pictures but all it shows is a little red diamond in the corner.

there was a thread about this some time ago. Are you sure the photos arrived? What's the email's size?

I'm assuming you have clicked "Show pictures", as Thunderbird blocks them automatically. But I don't think it shows red xs even then... Mine just don't show at all.

In short, unable to help much, except to suggest The Thunderbird Support Forums or the Thunderbird irc channel, #thunderbird on the mozilla.org server.

On 'my' T-Bird, there is a button in the view pane that must be activated by you. Once you click "Show Images" then T-Bird will download and dispaly them.

Yeah, but that button isn't there for all images. The only time it's there, is when it thinks it's spam.

I posted some topics on the link above. I'll see what happens. It must be happening to others too.

It does seem really confusing, I can now say after looking at it for a while, but I still recommend the IRC channel. The couple of problems I've had with Firefox, they've helped me out straight away.

For the sake of sanity, let us review.
1. Receive message from the server.
2. Message shows attachment icon (paper-clip) in the left hand pane.
3. Message does not display image.
4. You the user can only view a little red x.
5. Look around the bottom of the pre-view pane, there 'might' be a pane there that holds the attachment text. "ATT00396.jpg"?
6. If so, your choice, double click, or right click, menu appears.
7. If not, I'm at a loss.

Is this a ported windoze version? Or a native port on Linux/Unix?
