Halloween Costumes

This year a few of us are thinking about going down town for Halloween, fancy dress and the lot, and I need some ideas.

Keep in mind I need to look old enough to get a pint (18, I'm 17 in three weeks) so no Power Ranger costumes *grin*

Post anything and everything that I can easily get (ie. won't have to buy things off the net 'cause they won't come in time)

Who knows...it might help someone else on IW too

im going to dress as a either a vampire lord or the grim reaper hehe. All i need is a little makeup; a dark cloak/dark clothes for either costume.
the scythe and teeth are a bit more of a problem; going to go shopping in a day or two and see if i can find either.

They should be easy enough to find. Try looking in the 'cheaper' stores- those sorts of things are a lot easier to find in a place like a 99cent shop.

The scythe is easy. Just go to a hardware store and buy a real one!!

A deep one! Rub dead fish on yourself and then walk as if the bones of your legs weren't designed for walking. And gurgle a lot. For the actual costume, just wrap some plastic wrap over normal greenish black clothes to get that slimy gleam, and make a fish mask out of cardboard.

Go as "Drunk Bear"... Care Bear with a drunken flush and a beer mug on his chest.

Optionally, add a black tooth for more flavour.

Well I'm off to the thrift store tomorrow to see what I can do about getting myself a kilt for a couple of dollars. And then some blue face paint, and voila! William Wallace!

And then next year, I might be Rob Roy

I went to a party the other night dressed as a sociologist. You dress like everyone else, only you carry a book on Marxist theory and a notepad and loudly discuss the societal observations you're making.

Now, if THAT doesn't get you a pint, I don't know what will.
