Starting New Party, Need Opinions

After finishing the game once, I decided to try to start it agian with a different party:

PC - Mage
Keldorn - Paladin
Kelsey - Sorcerer
Anomen - Cleric/Fighter
Minsc - Warrior
Jan - Thief/Illusionist

Would this make a good team? I need suggestions please.

I might even decide to change the PC to a mage/druid.

I was actually thinking of starting a party very similar to that:
PC - Ranger (no kit)
Minsc
Keldorn
Anomen\Jaheira (depending on which one I can tolerate)
Nalia
Jan

I'd say start druid, then dual to mage. I'm not sure if you can dual a druid though. If you go single-class mage with that party I definetely recommend specializing.

A Druid can only dual to a Fighter, not Mage.

Good mix. Personally, I wanted to try out theme parties myself:

All Cleric/Druid Party
All Mage Party
All Thief Party
All Male
All Female

IF I were to make an all female party what should my main character be then?

Obviously with an all female party after fighting Irenicus you would go to heaven and not to hell.

Think of Irenicus babbling that you have lost your soul, and you say "I have already lost my soul and more to my six colleagues. Please go away and don't disturb me, we have other more important business in mind ..."

The party you are suggesting is well balanced. You only need one full mage, so you may want to play a bard or something else instead. Also you may want to experiment with dual classing.

Me(Necromancer)
Keldorn
Anomen
Valygar
Jan
Jaherie

Keldorn is amazin with that paladin sword. Got myself staff of Magic. Valygar duelwield daystar and celestail fury. Its quite a powerful party and there are no conflicts between characters and alignments which seems to stop you making a decent evil group I've found.
