Yes, I heard that, but not sure why. Is it because Australia is refusing admittance to refugees? If so, it seems a bit potty, since the refugees are tying to escape the Taliban....

This Jihad mind set is very baffling. Missed communications everywhere. What face-saving elements can anybody give up now to stop this war? Talks broke down for years and years about this face-saving thing between USA and Taliban. Pride cometh before the fall.??

They called for Jihad against Australia because of the support militarily othwise that the aussies have given the US for this war. The Talibad ambassador to Pakistan said something to this effect "Any who side with America will be considered the enemy and the Jihad will include them, and also those Afghans who will not support the Taliban"

Conan, I have no idea other than the broad 'tarring with the same brush'. We're all English speakers right? Aussies got killed in Pakistan by rioters/protestors.
Bin Laden et al want a Jihad. Muslim vs Christian/Jew. Doesn't matter that Australia has a large peaceful Islamic community. In Oz we have two disturbing things. 1. Our closest significant neighbour is the largest Islamic nation of the face of the earth that outnumbers us 180 million to 20 million. I'm sure that any idiots who heed Osamas call will ignore the peaceful relations Australia and Indonesia have enjoyed and that Aussie military helped train Indo military. Does that mean we created Indonesia? America trained Osama, yet people like to say America created Osama....  2. There are problems brewing regarding the firebombing of Christian Churches, and voices raised about the proliferation of Lebanese in Australia. Yukky yukky yukky. As to whether their is a single isolated event that triggered the Jihad, I doubt it. It's up to Muslims to reject the Wahabist lunacy and ignore the call. ------------------
