NOT including classes, how much did you study per night (on average say), during:

Elementary School
Middle School/Junior High
High School
University/College

When I was in elementary, I willingly did my homework, probably spent 30-45 minutes each night. Didn't study though. In junior high, I did all my homework up until about halfway through gr.8, when I started to only do the big assignments. High School... well, I've got 5 months left, and I've not written a single essay, not done a bit of homework, really.

Can't remember before high school, that was from 1/2 hour to two hours, five days a week. University was something on the order of four to six hours every day. What can I say, my classes were either really interesting to me, or the professor expected us to read a lot of crap that never made it into discussions or even midterms/finals. Damn history requirements. Foreign language classes always got a minimum one hour a day though.

Never seemed to get homework at primary.

Did maybe a couple hours a week in secondary, plus coursework, which came all at once for a couple of weeks every year.

6th form, went to all lessons and worked in my frees, then did nothing at home.

Uni... Only done one term of uni and my file is already fuller than my 6th form was after a whole year I work most of the day, and devote my evenings to beer.

Primary school didn't really get homework.
Secondary school I spend not long on it. Usually an exercise a week in maths (15 minutes in formtime), a history question (page or so of writing, half hour) every few weeks, that's it. Many of the teachers do not care/check it, so unless it's coursework (or I know the teacher will definatly check - Maths and English mostly) I won't do it.

Primary school, nothing really.
Well, I do about an hour a night, and up to three hours for coursework - GCSEs next year.
Ivellis, is your reason for not doing some work that the teachers don't care, or that they won't check, or a mix of both (just curious).

Slackers...so many slackers

Elementary...none to 30 mins
middle school - 5-6 hours not counting weekends

high school - 6-7 hours not counting Fri/Sat - but middle to high school was at a college prep school that promised lots of homework to parents.

college - 3-4 hours a day...it helps not getting busy work or wasting the whole day in class lol

you didn't ask for it, but grad school - only had one semester so far, but 8 seems about average (ranging from 3 to 14), including weekends. This semester's looking up though.

If I know it's a teacher that won't check, I won't do it. They care, obviously, and most teachers I can't get away with no homework, although a few (Chemistry, Physics, IT, Business Studies to name a few) don't check, or check after a few months when I claim I've forgot what it was
