I have a nokia 6610i and i want to get some ringtones for it.
It however does not have any ringtone editing software on it. How would i go about getting a ringtone on it other than buying one? |

I guess you could try to find some from the internet. Try googling.

Download the midi files that you would like and use infrared or bluetooth or a transfer cable and just transfer them to the phone.

I've a question. After you download those ringtones into your computer how are you going to put them into your handphone?
edit : neverwimd , Azeral just answered them. [ 03-30-2005, 06:07 PM: Message edited by: Kakero ] |

Also you could up load them a wap webpage and then download them to your phone expensive but another option.

Or maybe you happen to have the same Nokia i have, which appears to be the only type of cellphone that doesn't allow additional ringtones, which is exactly the reason i keep hanging on to it. If there's anything that annoys the living daylights out of me, it's cellphones with idiotic ringtones like if there's a whole orchestra inside.

Did your phone come with any sort of cable that allows it to connect to your pc?

no, i don't have a cable,
i think i'll have to buy one though, i've got a lot of photos i'd like to transfer to my pc, and backup addresses etc. Infrared doesn't work properly, i'll look online actually and see if i can find a program that will allow my laptop to recognise the phone properly, because right now it can identify it, but can't do anything. |

Get the Nokia PC suite. One of those came with my data cable and works better than you's assume from someone in league with Microsoft.

Thankyou so much Iron Greasel!
that program was *exactly* what i was looking for, it connects to the phone via infrared too, so i don't even need to buy anything extra. Thankyou! |
