yeah, i know it should be in the games forum, but I know more people who want to see it will see it here more likely (I hope) and if you dont agree mods, feel free to move it

well, here it is....

Quote:
Bards sing tales of heroes from ages past, but never have the Forgotten Realms so desperately needed a champion. Years have passed since the war between Luskan and Neverwinter, almost enough time for the wounds of war to heal. But the brief peace the Realms have known may be at an end. Tension growing between the mighty city-states means the Sword Coast again teeters on the edge of open war. Unnoticed, a greater danger stalks the City of Skilled Hands. Unbeknownst to the denizens of the North, deep in the Mere of Dead Men, dark forces from across the Realms have been rallied under the banner of a legendary evil. If left unchallenged, all of the North is doomed to fall under its power.

Even in this darkest hour, hope remains. A mysterious relic is borne to Neverwinter in the hands of a lone hero so that its secrets may be unlocked - secrets that carry the fate of all the North. So begins an epic tale of shattered alliances, noble acts and dark deeds to be told across the Realms for generations to come.

This will be about the tenth time evil will have risen on my computer. Do you ever get the feeling you play too many RPGs?

I am left wondering if there will be compatibility with NWN.I, especially with the Toolset, and games built therein.

That is my biggest concern. Will the new version make the old one worthless? Can I play on servers that make NWN.II mods using my NWN.I characters? Can I switch my NWN.I info into NWN.II format?

What's going on?

hmm, I can't say NWN ever really interested me that much, so they'll have to do better then just enhancing the graphics and online mode.

Larry, I have had the same questions. Something tells me that the changes to the second tool set are not compatible with the current one. I have no facts to back me up, just a feeling.

So is this supposed to be set before or after NWN1?

What do you mean, before or after?

Apparently, most of the NWN scripting will also work in NWN2. The characters, possibly, if you update a few things. The rest of it, unlikely.

Just what additions and changes they made I couldn't say, I'm sure there are a lot of improvements, but I also expect a lot of things I'd have liked to see them change or expand upon in the original, to be left unchanged or missing.

As for the list of features, as always it sounds like a lot but really it says nothing. We'll just have to wait and see.

Another evil? just a thought, why don't the evil thingie all attack at once. Any would be hero will be too overwhelmed by the sheer number of opponents.
