Bard vs Ninja

OK, so we all know pirates hate ninja's, but here's a lesser known fact, Bards are even more deadly enemies to ninjas than pirates.

Well, I don't entirely understand the point of putting a warrior that's otherwise normal besides the fact that he can sing. In terms of Final Fantasy, Bad can sing (magic) and ninjas can throw(magic) so it's pretty even. But a bard is a European warrior, a ninja is an eastern warrior. European warriors' skills are best in group combat, while Ninjas are good in one-on-one. So in this scenario given, a ninja would win. It's like a sniper versus a sword. A sniper is poweful from a distance, but up close it's next to impossible to use it to it's full capacity. And vice-versa for the sword.

Say you organise a thousand battles to the death between ninja's and bards. Suppose only a single bard wins his fight (the ninja stumbled and impaled himself on the lute).
That's the fight everyone'll be singing about. Since there were no bards left in the other 999 matches, they're forgotten.

On the other hand, suppose the bards won all fights but one. With that many dead ninja's, everyone will tell you they are rare, and hard to spot. Since they are in fact considered exotic by many in the west, you'll have to conclude this outcome is much more likely.

But no matter what sources you're looking at, from the above it's clear that it'll be the bard owning the ninja, end of story.

Edit: How about a ninja bard? Would he be able to sing a lullaby to put his enemies to sleep? If he sang it quiet.

Is this an even fight? Ninjas got many deadly fighting technique that will kill the bard from afar or from close combat.Techniques like ?????, ?? or even ????. Heck, the bard will be dead before the actual fight even started.

The majority of members seem to agree that the Ninja would twaddle the bard whilst he is busy spouting poetry at some fair maiden or composing flowery lyrics at the local tavern.
