I want to find out the maximum RAM and hard drive my laptop can take, but I have no clue how to go about it. Is there a website that could tell me this? I don't get a lot of matches when I search for my laptop model number, so I'm pretty stumped here. Does anyone know what I could try?

First you needd to know the manufacturer of your motherboard, then find out exactly which one you have, go to their website and the details should be there, you will not find the answer on your computer I dont think, also if your computer came with some instructions, then it might be in there.

Who makes your laptop? I know my manufacturer still has specs and such up for mine, even though it's an obsolete model *sniff*

I have this laptop: http://www.gotocol.com/fujitsup2040.html
It's difficult to find an official page for it, since it's a little outdated too, hence my wanting to beef it up a tad. Never mind, I guess I'll do some more searching. Thanks guys.

Lol. Interesting, and I thought I had just seen the worlds smallest notebook a couple of weeks ago
![]() Hmm just open it up and take a look. Although there isn't too much you can do with laptops, you could always take it into a computer shop, they'l be able to tell you straight off, and they won't charge you for just taking a quick look.

What coincidence! I have a Fujitsu P-2120!
Go to www.fujitsupc.com, click on Accessories and then Memory. Fill out Notebook, P-2000, and P-2040, and you're there. You can add another 128MB of memory to your machine for $55... same as mine. Installing it was pretty straightforward, and they were quick on shipping, too. Unfortunately, no one else makes these micro-DIMM memory cards, so you're stuck with the manufacturer or getting one custom-made.

Wow, that really is a coincidence. Thanks a lot, B - for some reason, I was looking in all the wrong places. Much appreciated.

No worries You can find a lot of info about your machine on there... a rather nice site, all things considered.
