Gah. I had to grind the satyrs in Azshara last night for Demonic Runes. I needed 20, and they're BOP so I can't buy them at the AH. I spent an entire level killing those guys, and now I'm level 54.

I'm grinding for my Robe of the Void (I've had that pattern for about 20 levels now). I can't wear it until level 57, but the list of materials is hefty so I figure no time like the present. I have 8 of the Essence of Fires I need, and will get more before 57.

But, I need to grind 40 felcloth for the robe -- I'm also using it to make mooncloth. And, if I have to go grind 40 felcloth from those danged Satyrs in Felwood and Azhara I will claw my eyes out. So, where is a good place for me to grind heavy felcloth drops? Thanks for any info.

Ouch, i feel your pain. I started to grind for my Rotv and i used the demon spots in Felwood and Azhara (Both very popular- so fighting for mobs) and i can say i got maybe 10 felcloth in 2weeks, loads of hours. the drop rate is poor i would advise buying the felcloth cos you could grind from 54-60 on those dmeons and get maybe 25 pieces . I gave up on my Rotv cos of the mats and that felheart was so easily available.
keep on grind'n partner *snicker*

Try the one northwest of Felwood near the named satyr. There's lots of other players there so just stick near the named satyr. Soon people will leave you alone as you have "claim" your territory. Sometimes, the named satyr might drop you good stuff. *cough*

Or you could just buy the felcloth since the droprate is extremely POOR.

Drop rates about 2/hour IF your all alone in my experience. I've gotten 4/hour, and sometimes zero. Problem is the farmers love those satyrs, at least on hellscream they do. Just have to be patient I guess, and a bit lucky
Look up mats for robe of the archmage lol, now those mats suck. Essence of air. Enough said , no dropping crap lol

Well, this weekend I was able to scoop up about 20 felcloth for 1 gp ea. or less. Apparently the farmers were active.

And, why?? You get 3 good things from these satyrs. Demonic Runes, Runecloth and Felcloth. Demonic Runes are BOP, so nothing there to sell. Runecloth is cheap. Felcloth drops too rarely, and sells for only 1 gp ea. So, why would a farmer grind this crap? You certainly couldn't maintain a 40gp/shift quota doing this.

I don't know, maybe you could. I did pick up some greens from them and I did make good money, or at least average money. Still, the level a farmer needs to farm at....

If you're still doing this I've found the Jadefire Run area is a decent place to grind Felcloth, there is also another camp far to the southwest IIRC
