Hi All,

I am looking for other RPG type games, I have played BG 1 & 2 and IWD 1 & 2 many times. I tried NWN, but couldn't get into it. I was wondering if their are any other RPG games similar to IWD and BG? Preferably not online games.

Thanks in advance.

A lot of folks here may suggest that you try Planescape Torment, but I've never played it, so I'm not sure what it's like. It's supposed to be really good though; from what I've heard, very roleplay-oriented. Fallout 1&2 may be something to look into also.

If you like Star Wars, play KOTOR.

- Planescape Torment (masterpiece of literary/gaming art!) Highly reccomended indeed.

- Arcanum is another which should be suggested, since its engine is also similar in style to the Baldur's Gate stuff.

- The fallouts, as already suggested (I'm still playing the original one at the moment in fact...)

- You could always try Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor, but I don't reccomend it, even if a mate of mine has completed it. If you can stomach a buggy, unintuitive interface, empty repetitive music and hollow encounters, then go for it!

- Any of the Ultima's 4-8 use an isometric/top down view as well, and would definitely be worth your time, if you are able to play old games and don't mind spending some time configuring them to run. (which I don't, but many do.) These games are highly influential upon the infinity engine stuff and have given me much joy for their depth.
Ultima IV is free for download and has numerous additional patches/enhancements made for it.

Some good choices, cheers, that should keep me busy.

Recently i heard about an RPG called the Bard's Tale or something similiar, anyone know what its called exactly? I believe it's due out this month.

Try Divine Divinity. It has a bit of Baldurs Gate, Diablo and Morrowind in it.
