Where am I supposed to find the heart of a demon? Also, I haven't thouroughly explored, will I get a chance to poke around? (aka find nifty stuff lol)

To find a demons heart remember that once you enter the planar sphere it travelled to another plane so simply exit from the door you came in and you will be in the outside world where there is three demons. As for exploring I'm not sure wether you mean exploring the planar sphere or the game as a whole. There isn't much to see in the sphere but in the game there is a few oportunites to explore and do side quests instead of doing the main story.
