Suggestions for my final character

Here's my party at the moment:
Zarr-thief
keldorn-inquisitor
Mazzy-fighter
jaheria-fighter/druid
Haer'Dalis-blade
Nalia-thief

The problem is Haer'Dalis sucks his pickpocketing skills is only 25,his AC is crap so he can't fight not to mention his rubbish thac0 and to top it all of his bardsong doesn't get better with levels so basically I'm thinking of replacing him. Does anybody know if he will get better with leveling up or is he always going to be like this. If he is then I'll replace him so this leads me to another queston, who should I take in my party to replace him? Any suggestions will be appreciated,thanks.

His AC won't be good enough for a front-line brawler--unless you use his Defensive stance. His Pick Pockets will gain 5 points per level, if I'm not mistaken, and Bards level up very quickly. Of course, I've never liked Bards at all: They're not Fighters, Thieves OR Mages. Give me a good old Multiclassed Mage/Thief any day.

Party suggestions: Well, you've got Mazzy and Keldorn for Tanks, with Jaheira as a backup Tank....you have only Nalia as your Mage, and you have no Cleric spells. Get Aerie.

Aye, I agree that you should get Aerie.. I just checked. A Blade's bardsong doesn't get better at levelup, and his/her only get 1/2 the normal pickpocketing points at level up. But Aerie would balance the party quite nicely.

Six, most people don't consider Mazzy to be a tank - shes more of an Archer. And, yes, i fully agree - get Aerie, pronto.

if you dont like any of the game NPC's you could put your save game file into the multiplayer savegames folder load it up and delete haer dalis and replace it with one of your own characters

Alson I actually use Mazzy as a tank give her the strenght girdle bought from the adventurers mart and a good short sword and shield and she's quite a good little tank. BTW does anyone know where I can find a good short sword for Mazzy? At the minute she's still using her +2 sword she comes with and I'm going to need a better one. Anyway I'll think about Aerie, any more suggestions?

You find Arbanes sword on some bandits between areas, and the lilbratha somewhere in the umar hills if thats any help.

yes thanks for the reply but those swords aren't +3 that's what I'm looking for, does anyone know the location of a good +3(at least) short sword?

Short Sword of Backstabbing +3:: Reward from Renal Bloodscalp after you complete all his quests. As a Thief however, you have to choose between your stronghold or the weapon.

Consider temporarily shifting Mazzy into an archer position. Give her the Tuigan Bow, you will not be disappointed. Keldorn will then become your main tank, with Jaheira as your secondary tank( Ironskins!).

Thanks for the advice well I already chose the stronghold so I can't get that sword. I've remembered where a good short sword is you can buy a +4 one at watchers keep so I'll head there before I go to the spellhold place. I'll use Mazzy as an archer until then as you suggested.
