slayer and hell (spoilers)

What weapons do damage to Irenicus when he turns into the slayer?
Why can Irenicus remain slayer while you receive damage when you remain it too long?
Is there a good tactic for the demons in hell or is there a low level spell which damages them much?
Why do my skeleton warriors die from some sort of death spell when I've protected them with death ward?

Now I summon 4 skeleton warriors, haste, protection from evil, death ward, chant. Then I cast simulacrum on my swashbuckler mage so I get one with time stop spell, which I use to do some magic damage. Anomen casts simulacrum with Vhailor's helm and with Ring of the Ram I do the damage twice. After that I cast a horrid wilting while my skeleton warriors and the rest of my party attack the demons one by one. )(then my skeleton warriors died from some spell and 4 of my party get hacked by the demons of which only two died. I killed the rest of the demons with Anomen's holy smite and bolt of glory while my PC with boots of speed distracted them by walking around. When the demons where dead I went to the opposite side of Irenicus cast a couple of resurrections and charged while I casted a fire storm but my party died soon from the damage of the slayer. I couldn't hit Irenicus with my PC (celestial fury and Dhakon certs blade
(or something like it) so I turned in the Slayer and died from the damage of Irenicus and myself)

What do I do wrong?

+3 or higher weapons. He may have some spell protections on if they're not hitting, so Breach and Ruby Ray him first, then whack at him.

Warning: he WILL teleport away to another location when he starts taking mondo damage, so be ready. Improved Haste works great here. Keep your spellcasters back and casting the abjuration spells at him. He may also cast Imprisonment, so have a Freedom scroll at the ready.

I hasted my party before he appears, then I ran off to the lower left hand corner. Once the demons are off the screen, you can pick them off one by one. I meled them to death along with a few mage spells. My party had the crom faer, halberd wave, casomyr, and this great elen wood staff. That pretty much beats the piss out of them.

Then I went for Irenicus, and killed him on my first try. When you leave the area of confrontation, Jon will waste a lot of spells on your summoned. Then go back and give him everything you got - I used a green mound, a nishiru, and threw every mage spell I had at him (and the highest level mage I had was only 14). Keep lowering his magic protections and whack him to death. Set a trap for him, too.

In hell the tactic i used was to hide hide from Irenicus . After i had finished the demons, then i turned into the slayer, didnt loose rep. points, dont know why, anyways my hasted slayer dealt loads of damage so did the rest of my party. One more thing though, either wait for his spell protections to expire or blast them away. Plus do be quick in killing him 'cause he regenerates very very fast. Hope that helps!
