He's banned from the US because he's been arrested five times in the UK whilst doing his pranks.

I admit that some of his pranks are funny the first time around (but not after a few hundred...) but he, himself is not particularly funny. I watched him on BBC 3 on BBC 1 a night or two ago, and it failed to even raise a dry smile...I felt worse after watching it, and I'm glad I don't watch BBC 3...
