Well, as most of you know, this time last year, IW was down and Ziroc posted a wistful message on the home page, regretting that we could not tell each other how we made out. Well, this is it! I got a DVD/VCR player, a Kyocera porcelain knife, the LOTR Platinum edition, and a bunch more. Galadria got cookware, a suede/shearling coat, a Louis Vuitton wallet, and some jewelry. How about you all?

I don't want to list everything, since some things are not really worth boasting about, but I did get this new processor (Sony Vaio), Arx Fatalis, Tribunal, and MechAssault. I'm still getting used to the XP interface, but it does seem better than my previous Win98.

As I posted elsewhere, the big ticket items for me were a Bose 3-2-1 sound system and the Band of Brothers boxed set DVD. After my wife was so kind to me for our anniversary 2 months ago (an entire home office furniture set from pottery barn), I figure I've had one helluva year.

You would not believe the number of gifts I had to get her to make up for the Bose system. But, rewards were well worth it.

Oh, guess I should list the Bahamian vacation we treated ourselves to as well.

RSI from playing roguelikes with a bad keyboard. Ouch.

Other than that, practical junk I wont bore you with - I think the low point was a wrapped up bottle of ketchup :|

Im moving into a new flat in the new year, and my mother has a somewhat warped sense of humour. On the giving side, a few games and suchlike. Enough to empty my bank account, but then thats christmas for you.

Nah I got to see my children joyfully shred the presents my wife and I tenderley wrapped till 330 in the morning. They were happy and are still beaming with joy, albiet my older girl more then the baby. It was a blast chaseing her around the non baby proof homes of my relatives who insist it wasnt like that for them when we were young "insert explitive here" The thing they fail to remember was that there was no shiny sparkly Christmas village's just at our height and size to play with. Ha my baby is just to dern cute and sweet I didnt care when she chucked that 250 $ ornament across the room Ha I wish she had just to watch my aunt's jaw drop No nothing bad happend and they made out like bandits. Hope everyone else did also.

Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring 4-DVD extended version. Didn't pay attention to what the rest of it was after that.

Actually, the best present I got was the biggest, fleeciest dressing gown that could be found. It's a solitary pleasure I admit, but very little beats lounging around in said dressing gown and fluffy slippers all day when you've nothing better to do
