The perks you get are some added side quests and some additional experience.
MORE SPOILERS: > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > At De'Arnise, you get to participate in managing the castle and the surrounding lands as "lord". Everything from helping repair flooded dikes to keeping the Roenalls from invading your keep. At Planar Sphere, you get to be the instructor/supervisor of three "apprentices" who you hope survive to graduation. ![]() At the 5 Flagon's Theatre, you get to manage a theatre company and even take part in a play yourself. In the Temple strongholds, you get to solve several problems with people who have come for counseling and/or advice. Your actions will be rewarded depending on what temple you're with: Talassians will do what they can to get people in trouble, while Dawnbringers (Lathander) will go out of their way to help everyone; Helm, naturally, takes the "neutral" path. Mae'var's guild lets you micromanage a passle of thieves, each with a particular skill: pickpocket, assassination, smuggling, extortion (protection services), and blackmail. You get to assign tasks to them which can pay off megabucks, but be careful not to overdo them or you may have to pay hefty bribes to get them out of jail! The Ranger stronghold has you perform several "ranger-like" tasks for the Imnesvalians, culminating in hunting down Umar the witch herself. The Paladin stronghold (OotRH) sends you on several quests. (HINT: and what would a Knight be without a DRAGON to slay? ![]() ![]() I'm not sure what the Druid quests entail, but I assume they'd have something to do with the balance of nature. Anyway, each stronghold has several parts to their quests. Choosing the best course for each one will net the most experience, and, eventually, the greatest payoff. ![]() Cheers, -Sazerac
