I headed South out of Beregost to Nashkel. I did the mines and got the guy who took the emeralds. I then went west to the gnoll stronghold and found Dynaher. Now I'm wandering throught the forest areas looking for the rogue guard captain and the priest with the 5000 gp bounty on his head. I am presently in the catacombs under the Firewine Bridge, but I do not know what's down there yet.

I guess my ultimate question is if I'm supposed to be doing what I've done/am doing and what else I should be looking for. my fear is that I'll end up wandering aimlessly and waste time (I'm at day 30 if that matters) and miss important things I'll need later.

Thanks in advance for any input.

Glad to meet you Gibdog! :happywav: Your doing GREAT. Onceyou get to Nashsel, you can go whereever. You don't even have to go to the mines. Take your time now and explore all the southern areas below Beregost. That way you can build your character up. Depending on how fast you play, you can spend weeks just working through these different areas. Then you can go find the Bandit Camp. That's the next big must do quest. But there is no hurry to do it. Set back and enjoy!

BTW, if you haven't already, pop over to General Discussions and introduce yourself. We have great little community here!

Thanks for the info. Any more you could add would be greatly appreciated.

I've noticed a lot of grid references/X-Y coordinates. Where can I find those? Also, I am now in the village north of the FireWine Bridge. Where's the lighthouse from there?

Thanks.

You need to go all the way back to the east. All the way to the coast. Man the lighthouse area is where you need to be if you want to build up experience points!

There is a cave there that you need to go in. Stay there as long as possible. Rest there often. Clay Goloms will continuely attack you there. Never more than one or two at a time. They are worth 2000xp each and are really not that hard to fight! I always level up ever member in my party there. The last time I spent two REAL night sessions there!
Best place to get XP's in the whole game!

Thanks to you all for helping out. I just picked up a sick fellow named Samuel and am bringing him back to the Friendly Arms Inn. I can head South to the lighthouse after that.
