Either under the header 'Arts' or 'Getting to know eachother'
Imagine someone has just painted a portrait of you (roughly 17th century style). What would it look like? What item(s) are you holding, how (well) would you be dressed, and in what colours? Is there any specific background which 'is' you? Is there anyone you'd like to be the painter? Are there other questions you'd like to answer even though they aren't mentioned here? Personally, I'm hesitating between 1) A sober portrait with me wearing dark blues & blacks, holding a book (nothing too bulky though), with a blurry computer taking up a corner of the background, and 2) An outdoors landscape with lots of green grass, some hills and/or mountains and me in kilt, holding a claymore Any decent painter would do How about the rest of you? |

I'd want one of myself in armor, sitting, with Galadria standing behind me with her hand on my shoulder.

I'd be painted by Eva Davis because her style and story are both quite interesting, starting with her mother escaping from the Nazi death camps and leading up to her becoming an 86 year old marathon runner who was elected "Woman of the Year" by time magazine in 2001, I know the lady personally because she lives down the street from my Granmother, and we meet on occasion, she'd probably be the one to paint me, standing in all black, with a background made up of cicuits and wires with my red tinted glasses and hair, and all black, once again, everything else on me, including my mp3 player, which would be in a sloped and easily let go hand, while the other hand would be running along my face, covering up my right eye and fingers throught my hair as I smiled looking straight forward at any observant viewer...

mmm... portrait of myself...mmmm...
I would be wearing a suit of armor, slightly worn from battle and I would be holding a broadsword or a longsword. The background should be an outdoor scenery with some hills and green grass. Far in the horizon there should be MY castle on top on a hill. And of course there should be a *nice* looking blonde gal (with 17th century clothing, especially corset) and she was serving me wine. i would have the portait be of my family and myself on a picnic with our horses tied up close by and my oldest chasing a butterfly. i would be dressed in a dark blue and cream dress, not sure what the styles were then, but something good, and my husband would be dressed rather lordly, in a dark blue as well. justice would look like a perfect princess in alavender dress, and erilyn would have a nice cream dress with an adorable bonnet on.

I would like a portrait done by Roger Dean. I would be dressed in earth-tone shades of brown, standing with my booted foot upon a small boulder and a background done using the imaginative skill of Dean.

I want one with the background as a running track, with a burning torch in the centre. I'm in a running vest with a huge gold medal saying 1st around my neck

it'd be me, standing at the top of my sorcerers towers (the one i'm gonna have built when i'm rich) with a sword in one hand and a bound book in the other. i'd be wearing a dark blue robe (the colour of the nights sky).
