Go and get "Gator" and you will know what spyware means. Until today, I still receive spams from various vendors all thanks to Go!Zilla and Gator.

theres this game called dope wars, its a great game, that has gator software with it. this morning i got sick of gator starting automatically, so i went through all the files gator installed and deleted it. it acted like a virus in the way it kept re-creating the files i deleted until i got them all.

if you want to remove Kazaa's spyware, go to TweakXP.com/remove Kazaas Spyware

Comet Cursor crap and Hotbar are also spyware. You can get a program called ad-aware (search on internet for it). Its made to look for and remove ad/spy ware crap files. It'll search (temp files, regular files, and registry) and tell you what it found and where, and give you options to remove it.

Adaware is a necessary piece of software for all... great tool for finding and killing spyware. Not too long ago there was a certain spyware package that on installation would look for Adaware and UNINSTALL IT AUTOMATICALLY if it found it... talk about the nerve of some people.

If you aren't fond of Gator (like me), there's a version of Kazaa called Kazaa Lite... it's been "lightened" by the weight of a Gator install.

one way to see if gator is on your computer is to press cntrl+alt+del ONCE. and check the processes running (win xp) if one of the files is named gmt, you have gator on your comp. it observes wherever you go, every website, every game, every email. also if you get a popup saying, install gator ad service by the Gator Corp. and it also says ALways trust content by the Gator corp., always decline the install, as thats another way it can get on your computer.

I'm with Sio! SPYWARE IS EVIL!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm also with Thoran. One cannot live free without having AdAware on your puter. Get it at www.lavasoftusa.com

For those that want all the wonders of Kazaa without all the damn spyware, there is an alternative. Go to www.kazaalite.com and download Kazaa Lite. All the Kazaa..none of the spyware. Enjoy!

I went to Lavasoft and downloaded Adaware for free, ran it, and it discovered 187 suspicious items in my files! It cleaned out everything safely. Get it!
