Rant About Junk e-mails

I just looked in my hotmail account, and I had 106 new messages today. 105 of them were JUNK! ONE was from a friend. ONE, out of 106 [img]graemlins/madhell.gif[/img]
It's driving me up the wall, one of these days I'm gonna go postal! [img]graemlins/madhell.gif[/img]

I get about 50 emails a day and about 50 of them are junk. Or for some reason they are sending me porn too. Now that is disgusting who would get off looking at a computer Screen I hate Junk Emails and I hate Porn.

Every once in a while it is because a friend forwarded me something dumb though and they get my address that way.

Yhe only decent e-mail that I receive is IW and BIS notifying me that someone has replied on one of my threads. Otherwise it's all junk.

I've set my hotmail filter of junk mail all the way up second high and I still receive numerous junk mail. shesh..

Same here. I think I get 50 junk mails in my Hotmail account daily. No doubt, I know where to go if I need a Home Loan, or Viagra, or porn sites, or a new weight loss diet. [img]tongue.gif[/img] The plethora!

If people wou;dn't respond to junk e-mail there wouldn't be a problem 'cause it wouldn't work! Same goes for pop up crap.
LISTEN UP PEOPLE!
Stop responding to spam and clicking on pop up's to get a great deal on a web cam! We make our own misery by clicking on these damn things so they keep sending the s**t out because it works! I don't believe this! Who got me started on spam! I really and I mean REALLY dislike SPAM!

I get 0 junk mail! Wanna know why? Because I just signed up for a new hotmail account and when I was just finishing, I noticed a little box that said 'Allow Microsoft to send your email to our sponsers' or something like that and it was checked. I unchecked it and have had 0 junk yet (2 months)

I haven't clicked on a frikken box except for clicking on the X icon, yet still I get this junk, I figure it's what you get cause you are using a free e-mail (Hotmail).? In other words, mostly you don't get anything for free. Luckily, Hotmail to me is just a secondary e-mail addy, I rarely use it, so just look at all those tons of shite junk mails as temporary entertainment for laughs. (You gotta look at the headers to these e-mails to see what I mean).

What really pisses me off is when.. OK at work sometimes I peruse sites to find freeware games, yes these are older games. Something to do at work during down times. These sites I figure are visited by underage kids a lot, cause of course they don't have any money and possibly looking for free stuff to play. The site choices are random, some are true-blue, but some are porn sites, and I mean you click on the link "freeware first person shooter games" and get this sicko picture pop up right on your screen (Silva and her dogs). No forewarning, there it is in all it's sicko glory. It pisses me off that people focus on younger surfers to corrupt for no other gain except to corrupt.

i've banned every adress that's spammed me from mailing me, and suprisingly, im still getting spam, and i filled up the maximum junk filter allowance that Hotmail has! I even get junk mail with the customized filters on their highest setting! on average about 300 messages a day, all junk, never anything normal...
