Is Matrox back ?

Are they? Maby with their new grapich card it look like it will be a mega card "Matrox Perhelia-512" the grapic prosessor (gpu) have 80 million transistors inside and the card will support DX 9 and the memorybandbred are on 20 gb pr sec. also the dobble of what Nvidia GeForce4 Ti 4600 can do!!
But the prize for the card is not yet to be found!

I read an article about it. And it seems to preform quite well compared to the GF4 TI4600. Of course its succes will be determined by its price.

yeah, the parhelia will be a nice card, but it won't be nearly as fast or as advanced as the next generation of offerings from ATI and Nvidia. The ATI R300 and the Nvidia NV30 will be amazing chips. Here's a quick and dirty comparison of the technology behind the next gen of video cards.

Keep in mind that John Carmack decided to use the ATI R300 to run the DOOM demo @ E3.
