Well after a week end of battleing im not sure if I am any closer to where I am going. Let me give you all a re-cap so you can send me in the right direction here.
I started over last week as a Gnome fighter(nuetral lawful). I couldn't survive very well and needed to do this for some higher hit points. Since then (sorry im not good with names here.)Ive only got one other person in my party. She is a druid warrior Ja.....? Well we have been kicking butt and getting our butts kicked. We have both leveled up twice now. I have 29 hit points and she has 27 hit points. She still only has the original spells she started with..?is there something I should have done to get her more?Anyway let me tell you of some of the monsters and battles I have gone threw. 1.Gibberlings are now easy except when the game throws 10 of them at you with someother things also. 2.Wolve's,and attack dogs 3.Bears 4.Ogre(im wearing his girdle) 5.Best swordsman of the land.(ive got his sword and gauntlets) 6.Ankheads..well those digging green creatures, some guy said not to kill more than 10 7.Kobolt elite and regulars 8.Spiders(slept off alot of poison.) 8.many, many hobgoblins 9.I RAN INTO THE Wizards OF THAY how the heck am I spose to take them out? 10.Some guy who said I killed his brother..he had bears to back him up but..I took everyones advice and learned very good range skills. 11.Some creature who turns me to stone everytime it comes around? Well as you all can see I love the battles in this game so far. I cant get into the gate yet and really dont have any idea how to. Please give your excellent comments to me and I promise to follow them.(well most of it anyway hehe!)My favorite battle tactic so far is to use my party member as bait ..have her run around while I pump the beasts full of arrows. They run right by me most of the time. I have a strenth of 18/36 what does that mean? ------------------ ![]() [This message has been edited by Conan (edited 06-25-2001).] |

You're doing great. No rush to get to the Gate.
About Jaheira's spells. She is a druid. And druids (and clerics for that matter) get all the spells for a certain level allready in their spellbook as opposed to a mage who must scribe them. What changes are the amount of spells that she can memorize. Each level should give her a few new spell slots. Also keep in mind that druids must level up twice to get to a new spell level. And in Jaheira's case that can take some time because of her multi class. Exp. gets devided between the two classes and therefor it will take longer for her to reach a higher level in her druid class as opposed to a single classed druid. The 36 after the 18 is a percentage. No race, except by using certain items, can gain a strength score of 19. But only fighters can go above 18. The points they recive above 18 is the percentage they gain towards carry weight and damage. For example if the difference between 18 and 19 would be that you can carry 100 pound more (i know this is not the case but it is to make it easy) then having a strength of 18/36 would allow you to carry 36 pound more. The percentages range from 01 (1 percent) to 00 (100 percent). JR Damned i lost cousin Jan's techno gloves |

I finished chapter 1 last night! Cool stuff! One thing that I am not use to is changeing the cd's like hot cakes coming off the grill!WHEW! Is it my style of play or am I playing to sporatic? I am still a 2 player party here. Was a little rough twards the end but found some good tactics to use. The game threw me for a huge loop once..sent a wyvern mixed with about a dozen other monsters at me..had to go back to a saved game there!
I still am not sure what I did to finish chapter 1.? How do I go about expecting to finish the second chapter?? Just keep wandering around..? Well, so be it. Battle on! ------------------ ![]() |

Conan,
Did Khalid die on you. Him and his wife Jaheria are inseparable I thought. Up north where you found the lady asking not to kill more then 10 ankhegs there is a Paladin named Ajantis that can help your party a lot. There are also many other NPCs you will find in other areas to help make your hunting easier. I will let you find those on your own. You sound all excited about the game. Sorta reminds me of how I felt some 20 years ago when I was introduced to D&D. Good hunting and keep us posted on how your doing. Glaivas Gastondale Deadshot Ranger |

Here is easy steps to survive-
1. Go to Beregost. 2. Go to second floor of Feldepost inn. 3. Kill OR pickpocket Algernon for Algernons cloak. 4. Put it on. 5. If you go the the bag that lets you use items on the front screen and you will see the cloak you are currently wearing. 6. If you click the cloak and cast the spell on another individual that is not magic resistance and he will be under your control. 7. The cloak has unlimited use so when you are beset by say, 5 bandits, Algernon cloak them and they will start killin eachother. That is how i survive. NOTE-Algernons cloak did not work on --- Sirines, battle horrors, ghasts, ghouls, skeletons. |
