Woah, a lot has been happening over here.

Just a few days ago I was told that my dad was to be deployed to Iraq, we're not sure yet when. This was troubling news, made worse by the fact that we can have some trouble if he has to leave before the renovations are done on the house.

Second, due to the fact that he has to leave before he had a chance to do this at his own preferred moment, he proposed 2 days ago to his girlfriend of about 2 or 3 years. She said yes.

Now, she and her son were planned to move in by the end of the month, when we hoped the electrical and plumbing downstairs (the part we're renovating) would be ready by then. Even if it is, there's still that possibility that my dad may be deployed before the house is completely finished which may cause some problems such as crowding.

Yep, a lot's been happenning.

Sounds challenging there, Armageddon! I hope it all works out for you... and that you get along well with your dad's GF and son. If you don't, just come back over here to vent or frustrate, as needed.

Thanks B.

I know them both pretty well, and they're good people. I expect it will be quite nice having them live here.

That's great to hear, then. I hope that everything works out well, especially with your dad heading to Iraq. May he fare well, and be home soon.

Got some somewhat good news. Apparently his unit isn't going to Iraq, but to Afghanistan. Kabul I believe.
