The best blunt weapon in the game is the Crom Faeyr.
As for swords, many people seem to favor the Blackrazor (is that the correct name?) *slight spoiler ahead* you get it near the very end by making an evil choice, though it also may be possible to pickpocket the owner. However, the most powerful sword, and indeed, weapon in the game must be the infamous Killsword, but you only get that by cheating, plus it takes the fun out of the game. Me, I like the Holy Avenger, but I also like playing paladins. The two-handed Silver Sword is also great, and it´s not class-specific. I recommend you try to get that one (hint: don´t kill Saemon Havarian, and go back with him when you finish Spellhold).

Crom fayer (be sure to explore the underdark throughly or you *will* miss at least one of the components) is the best golem--killer in SoA. There is a better one in ToB though.

SPOILER At some point in the game (I won't spoil it yet), you will be offered a choice to either teleport to a certain location directly or to go there by boat. If you decide to take the boat, you will be given a part of this legendary sword and the subquest to obtain the other piece will begin. ![]() If you need any other spoilers, go ahead and ask them. IMHO the "best" blunt weapon is the Flail of the Ages.
It is available at the DeArnisse keep and therefore fairly early in the game.Crom Fayer is good but you get it too late in the game and I'd rather keep the girdle of frost giant str and the gauntlets of ogre power ![]() If by sword you mean longsword then blackrazor is your weapon BUT you will get to use it only in the final battle. If you mean any edged weapon I'd say you go for the Celestial Fury. You can get it at the Temple District of Athkatla in the guarded compound.Be prepared for a fairly tough fight but beleive me the Celestial Fury is worth it!

My favourite Blunt-weapon is Flail of Ages, atleast with ToB installed. Simply because it deals out pretty much damage, and it deals out even more damage using all the different heads. If your character is Master or Grand-Master with Flails, this item cant be missed.
As for sword, I really like the Carsomyr. But as this only is useable by the Paladin ( ![]() |
