I just heard the Taliban offered to surrender Bin Laden to a neutral country and i think he is crazy not to do it. I mean, he will have to trialed in a neutral country anyway why not do it right away and get the whole thing over with. Of course their definition of neutral isnt the same as ours.

Bush cannot and will not accept this offer. He said that there will be no discussion as to the demands. They are to be met and met now. To accept this offer would be to reccon that the Talibans have the upper hand and that the US have lost face.

I wouldn't accept that offer, a "neutral" country might be one in which Bin Laden has a lot of followers who are willing to rescue him, also, the Taliban regime in Afghanistan must be removed, they are treating the people VERY poorly.

It's funny that we just noticed that the Talibans are treating people poorly. Good thing Osama pointed that out for us

Yes, I'm very satirical

The general populace don't really have much of a chance of finding out things like this unless there is a crisis of this sort which puts the focus on a country.

Sorry, but I disagree:

The general populace don't really care about things like this unless there is a crisis of this sort which puts the focus on a country because it is told that those in that country are against us.

But let's say that they DO care, how would they know? Not many people use THIS when searching for interesting sites: "People suffering in underdevelepod countries ruled by dictatorial regimes"

I think that there ARE some people who care anyway, I doubt that ALL of Afghanistan hates America, even though they've been brainwashed to believe that America is the devil(Which may or may not be true depending on your point of view.) there will ALWAYS be at least ONE revolutionary who thinks differently than the others, ONE who is not affected by the brainwashing, there will probably be more than one in fact.

Yes, you are right, some people do care and some people will always care because what's going on is unjust but, that's not the only place were it's unjust: go take a small walk in the middle of "white trash America"... you know that small town where people are dying because they don't have enough food to feed there kids. Yep, over there, they shoot them, here, we ignore them. Sorry, but their government is just as dirty as ours... our government's hands are just cleaner, that's all.

Personnally I don't think that they are brainwashed to think that the US is bad. They just plain in simple believe that we are. In their view, our actions are just detrimental to their interests. The same principal extends to us. In our view, their actions are just detrimental to our interests. Who's right and who's wrong? We both are. We're just as bad as they are but we refuse to see it because it would be admitting that we are not perfect.

Sorry, we've been brainwashed just as bad as they if we really came to think as a society that killing them is the answer to our problem but to let them kill themselves is immoral.

Who are we to dictate our Justice system on another country who decided their government. Totalitarian or not, those people want the Taliban in power. If they didn't you would have seen a coup. Just because they don't think like we do, that doesn't mean that they are less intitled to live by there rules and with their own believes. (ouch, talk about an immoral statement but how true). .

I might not agree with the Taliban's way of doing business. It's against my principles to kill people just because they don't believe in Allah (that might be 'cause I'm atheist) or for other injustified reasons. However, I reccon with the idea that all civilizations can do as they wish so long as they don't impose their believes on another civilization.

And that's what we are doing by trying to remove the Talibans. Our querel is with the Al-Qeada network, Bin Ladden and other terrorists, not governments who we despise and who happen to despise us.
