Which member of the old British comedy troupe, Monty Python, is your favourite?

Check this site if you can't remember which person is which.

Graham Chapman for me. He was really funny in The Life of Brian.

As for myself, I find Michael Palin's acting to be the coolest.

The idea of this poll came to me when I read a thread in the Books, TV Shows & Movies forum, in which Hierophant said that Palin's his second favourite of the troupe.

It'll be interesting to see the results though I have a feeling that Cleese is going to be leading.

Haha, John Cleese is my favourite. He was hilarious in the M.P. films, and did loads of other great stuff, like Fawlty Towers.

I can't remember which one played him, but I also loved the character who played the guy in The Holy Grail that was the 'judge' of the witch-drowing thing. His theory of wood, ducks, etc, was genius. *Google search* - his name was Bedevere.

"How do you know so much about Swallows?"

"Look, if he was dying, he wouldn't bother to carve 'aarrggh'. He'd just say it!"
"Well, that's what's carved in the rock!"
"Perhaps he was dictating."

Galahad put me in hysterics with that!

John Cleese or Michael Palin, but since I could only vote for one it is John Cleese.

John Cleese, for the work he did with Monty Python and for Fawlty Towers (an old favourite of mine) which Jaradu also mentioned.

I used to love that Adventures of Baron Münchhausen movie in which Eric Idle played(and which Terry Gilliam directed), so he used to be my favourite. Besides, the Bright Side of Life song in the Life of Brian was cool.

A Fish Called Wanda was also a great movie. Cleese and Palin starred in it.

Yeah my vote has to go Cleese, an excellent actor (although they were all great).
