Two highlights I picked up in my brief skim:

1) The key state of Ihio is apparently thought to have swung slightly to Kerry, although the Bush camp think they can still win it.

Justin Webb :: Washington D.C. :: 1606 GMT I am really struck by people telling me stories of them making real efforts to get out to vote. One man told me how he rang his mum and his aunt this morning to make sure they were going to vote. One taxi driver, of Turkish origin told me the other day how he had made sure all his family were registered, about 40 of them. None of these people have voted before.

Increased turnout is largely thought to favour the Democrats apparently...

Traditionally, yes, increased voter turnout tends toward a Democrat victory. This election is still up in the air, though. As of 424 GMT it looks like Bush 204 and Kerry 166 (average of results posted on CNN and Fox News; it takes 270 to win).
