how do you multi-class? i was thinkin of multi classin as a mage/somethin else. are they better than a specialist mage? what, iyo is the best multi-class?

the game manuel is a little thin on this. would a mage/theif lvl up both those skills?

I've been playing a Fighter/Mage. I always thought that was a good combination. The upside is that she's not as wimpy physically as a straight Mage. However, her hit points were still just terrible, which is bad for someone who's often fighting in the front and can't wear armor. Casting Find Familiar helps a great deal to increase your hit points.

You can only create a multi-class character upon character creation. If you already began your game as a single-classed Mage, you're stuck that way. The only thing you could do is dual class.

They do take a little longer. They'll always be a level or two behind your single classed characters.
