My favourite online test of all times. This has been taken by many leading politicians.
You have to be fairly opinionated and know a bit to take this, or you'll come out wrong or neutral.
It measures you in two axis: Libertarian to Authoitarian
Left to Right

You'll see where many people have ended up from: Hitler, Stalin, Chairman Mao, Gandhi, to Bush, Tony Blair... etc.

all at www.politicalcompass.org

sorry i don't know how to do the linky thing

It has not been taking by the politicians but political analysts have assessed what they would have said if they had taken the test based on their policies rather than on their (private) personal beliefs.

I stand somewhere with Gandhi and Mandela. I can live with that.

Hmm...according to this test I'm more left than I really am in reality. And I'm probably more authoritarian than this.

Oh well, at least the company isn't so bad (Gandhi and Mandela), it could have been worse.

I'm leaning Ghandi's way, but I'm closer to Jean Chretien.
