I went and gave blood for the first time today and found out that I am O+.

I am O+ but cannot give blood.
I have spherocitosis... and most doctors don't know what it is, so don't feel bad. It IS hereditary, tho... so no one will get it.  More info than you wanted... ah well. I want to give blood, I just can't produce it fast enough.

O+ Gave blood a few times in the military. Tried to give blood recently. The wait was too long. I'm always in a terrible hurry when off work. I just don't have time to wait 45 minutes or more to start giving blood and then the time spent doing it.
