I think i have a bug in my game...I've updated the latest patch available and still i cannot chat with anyone in the game. When i tried to chat with an NPC, the dialogue box always say that "who or who (NPC's name) appears to be busy"... and the command is disabled. Please help me fix this problem as my main character is suffering from severe loneliness; only the NPC can talk to him and he couldn't do anything with them.

It's not a bug; You cannot iniate dialogue with NPCs, they can only talk to you.

strange...
are you sure you have the latest bioware patch installed? the "NPC appears busy"-bug is a Win2K/WinXP related bug which can be even a plotstopper hindering you to talk to important persons like Aran Linvail or Bodhi. Check if you have the lastest patch, it fixed the bug for me!

Can confirm this - I always suffered a bit with it. Usually just walking out of the area and back again sorted it.
When I installed ToB it affected everyone, permanently. The patch cured it. (I still don't believe that I actually installed something _without_ having the patch ready immediately!) |
