Lich fighting..and losing badly!

Okay, I got the golden bones collected and went into the docks to kick some lich. Kangaxx, or however it is spelled shows up and I whip him, BOOM, the ole boy goes DEMI-LICH on me and now I'm in deep doo doo. So I do like any good adventuring party and run like HELL, regroup, haste up and return. I walk thru the door and he systematically imprisonment spells every member of my party including me! So, anyone got any good kick the Lich tactics?

1.- When a Beserker is enraged, he is immune to imprisiment.
2.- The 5th level mage spell, Spell Immunity, gives protection from any school of magic you choose, so choose abjuration, and you are immune.
3.- Ring of the Ram does an automatic 20 something points to him (he only has 50) and knocks him across the room. You can only use it once though.
4.- Summon as many creatures as possible. He usually focuses on them.

There are two other ways I have heard of but have never tried - Mace of Disruption and Protection From Undead scrolls.

You also want to keep all unnesassary party members as far away as possible. Good luck and enjoy.

Have at least one mage capable of casting Freedom from a scroll or memory remaining in the background. Just in case somebody gets imprisoned.

Personally I use Minsc in *berserker mode* with the mace of disruption and nobody else - I never experienced any problems destroying the demi-lich because he chances of destroying him with one hit are quite good. So he was always dead before Minsc´ berserker rage wears off.

whoa! does that mean Kangaxx can't see people protected from evil? if so, doesn't that mean he cannot say his first-form death dialogue, creating the same problem as with too-early protection from undead scrolls? if not, then this just might be my next strategy!

Here's my tatics, even tought I never fight this specific one. well sometimes when is posible i keep all my party members away then I aproach him hith only one guy, and then run away, keep doing this until he waste all his most powerful spells, they are very slow so its realy easy run away, then I simple kill him.
