This topic can be a number of things. It can be funny, serious, dramatic, etc. I hope to keep it light. Just remember one thing. I didn't create this thread to start a religous war!

There are a number of theories out there. I can't say I believe or disbelieve any of them. The truth is, nobody really knows for sure. Here's a few for example:
1. God died or is "indisposed"
2. There is no God
3. We made a timeline error

There are plenty more too. For me, I think that #3 is quite believable. It's definately possible that the current year is NOT 2001. We could be off by 35 years or more. Another theory I find to be quite believable is that the actual "Armageddon" isn't supposed to happen until 2057 (unsure if that's the date I heard). The reason for that being the book of Psalms in the Bible. If you compared each of the books to certain years in our history, coincidentally (or not), the events in Psalms seem to match the events in modern history. Following the pattern of which books match which years, then "Armageddon" would take place in 2057(?). I heard this theory on a special on the history channel (I think).

Just to keep us guessing.
To add one more thing for us to ponder, argue about, scramble for, and eventually forget only to have it happen when nobody is expecting it. Kinda like when you feel like you really have to sneeze. It's right there, so you start breathin funny through your nose to try to make it come out, but it kinda just fades away. 10 min. later, ACHOOOO!!! Right when you were talking to a potential mate or something. Hehe

Because there IS a universal calendar, Godly-made, and according to it we are in year 257.423.865 ...

Armageddon happened in Godly year 2000, ages ago ... that's why we're here.

Moiraine> I doubt that we'll ever learn to spell Armaggedon(or is it Armageddon? or Armaggeddon? no thats just wrong..) properly so long as there are Americans and the English. They just cant agree on how to spell anything

Not that that has anything to do with the spelling of Armageddon of course..

It did (and won't happen) because Christ and Anti-christ are locked up in some Loony bin becuse the kept telling people who they are and the forces of good and evil are sitting by their respected gates to the mortal world waiting of a sign.
