Is there any where in the game that you can find one of the tomes that increases your stats... i.e. Tome of Clear Thought-Intellegence increase +1. I know you can extract them, but can they be found legit...

No sorry... not in BG2.. there are a few places were you can get stats increased though [img]smile.gif[/img]

you actually CAN get them with the CLUA console, but that isn't very nice. the codes i think are book03-book08. unfortunately, the Wisdom and Charisma books cannot be placed in quickslots, so are useless.
(minor spoiler) You could play all the way from BG1, or install ToB and take on the Watcher's Keep. (or both)
