I have started the game two times already just because of the romance thing...I think its one of the great things about BGII...the first time I killed the "Poisoned Man" with a fireball and much later on I discovered that and had to beggin all over.This second time everything is going fine, only in chapter 6 Jaheira should(?) be turnned into Vampire and it isn't happening, plus Terminsel does not appear anywhere... I've checked the romance status and its "1" and "set to 53"...Please somebody tell me what's wrong... this is spoiling the rest of the game...

for questions about the jaheira romance
it is extremely buggy and therefore you may need to use CLUAConsole (BG2 debug mode) or Shadowkeeper (external BG2 trainer) to set it right again.
also look for newest patches from bioware at their homesie and additional fixes at baldurdash's page

i have a similar problem. the jaheira romance really has me beating my head agains the wall. i think she's stuck on dialog 52 or 53. the one that goes like - 'how.. how was your last battle...' and she's repeated this dialog some dozen times already and everytime i say the same thing and she says we should continue walking (?!!).
am i making a mistake?
plus.. a real big complication.. in one fight somewhere.. she was petrified by a beholder and after i stone-to-fleshed her.. she became an npc (i mean blue circle) and returned to the harper hold. i was extremely dense here and thought that must be part of her harper quests and saved over this only to realize later that she was in effect kicked out of the party.
after that i downloaded some patch or the other (manveru's i think) and i'm real confused now.
any help? (the romance is active again and on dialog 52/53.. but dermin refuses to appear the 2nd time)

I've already been in the "manveru's" and the only way to resolve that problem (being stuck on LT53) was to pause the game and enter the code CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("Lovetalk","LOCALS",59) while having the mouse over Jaheira... as it was said in Manveru's, I did lose some dialogs but the romance just got back on the perfect track...

NOTE: I'm not sure if this is important but I've been walking around between Waukeen's Promenade, Arnise Hold, etc before I got into Chapter 7 until every bit of romance had to happen...

Hope this can do something for you...
