There are some VERY nice staffs out there.

Here is a list of some nice staff a fighter can use. Some of them might be in TOB, I am not sure.

Staff of Air: Any air elemental hit must save vs death or die. Can also summon air elementals.

Staff of Fire: Same as above

Staff of Earth: Same as above

Rod of Smitting: Any golem hit must save vs death or be destroyed.

Staff of Striking: 1d6+9 damages

Staff of the Magi: Any character with mage levels should use that awesome staffs.

There is also a lot of different +3 staff.

if you're going for qstaff+++++, you might as well put as many points as you can into two-handed style, too. with all of that, just about any stave can be an excellent weapon of utter death. Staff of Ram is a very good example, but others are just as good. unfortunately, the Rod of Smiting is for clerics and mages only. the others (except obviously Staff of the Magi) are fine.

just imagine it: a huge, muscle-bound guy beating the brains out of a huge crowd of people with a wooden stick. hilarious!!

Not really that funny. It's like a Friar from Dark Age of Camelot (if anyone has played that) or Monks from other games. Hell, a ninja turtle could defeat evil with a staff, why not a fighter?

Yes but didn;t you think that Donatello was kinda like the wizard or priest from the Turtles? and that is why he used the staff?

Well, he was the smart one I guess, and I guess if you threw them into a D&D game, he'd be a Mage... but still, he beat people with it!

On a side note, I wish I knew how to work the Kit Creator thing, a Friar would be a cool class that has cool specialties with staves. Just a thought.
